Barry Ickes, 76, of Hollidaysburg, died in the Lord on Saturday at his home. His death followed a succession of significant ailments over the past decade, all of which he navigated with uncommon grace and anticipation of meeting the Lord he proclaimed. Barry was born in Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, the son of Joseph D. and Julie (Kovensky) Ickes. Surviving are his beloved wife, Susan; four children: Bryan and his wife, Sarah, of Burlington, N.C.; Laura and her husband, Dr. Daniel Hess, of Columbia, S.
