ALTOONA, Pa. – Aaron Shortridge tossed five innings for Altoona for the third time this season, but he allowed four unearned runs in the process as the Curve were shut out 4-0 by the Akron RubberDucks Wednesday at PNG Field.Akron scored one run in the first inning on an RBI single from Micah Pries, after Lolo Sanchez allowed Bryan Lavastida to advance first to third on a fielding error in the at-bat prior. Akron scored three more runs in the third on one hit and two errors by Altoona. Andres Alvarez and Liover Peguero each committed errors in the frame, as Lavastida scored on a fielding error by Peguero with two outs and Raynel Delgado brought two more home with a triple in the next at-bat.
